STYLING A SLIP DRESS

The pajama trend isn’t showing any signs of slowing down so the slip dresses live to see another day. The designs that have been worn from the last couple seasons are not same with what’s trending now. There have been a major update. Slip dresses are nice cause of their loose fittings. Slip dresses are a versatile trend and look amazing on every body type. Here are a few tips on how to style them!

1. Wear with denim

Wear a denim jacket over your slip dress. This will keep you warm while also giving you a laid back and edgy feel. Shay Mitchel’s has been known to rock a slip dress with an oversized denim shirt.


2. As maxi

Going to a fancy event does not mean you need to give up comfort! Make your slip dress more formal by choosing a maxi cut (would be better with a slit). Many celebrities, have been known to wear this style on the red carpet.


3. On a tee

Throw on a t-shirt under your slip dress. This trend was very popular in the 90’s but has definitely made a comeback lately. Adding a t-shirt underneath your dress allows you to wear a bra without the straps showing and also covers your shoulders for modesty sakes.

4. With a hat

Wearing a hat with your slip dress gives a bossy yet smart casual lookcayse it can be styled either ways; casually or formally. The fashion trends from back in the days are returning hotter and better cause the slip dress tends to be sexy with a hat on. This outfit is perfect for lunch dates.

5. With a bomber jacket

Again, if it is cooler out or you want to get that casual look, a bomber jacket is perfect. This is a really cute street outfit that you can wear if you are having yourself a day in the city!

6. With over-the-knee boots

Add over-the-knee boots for an effortless going-out outfit. You will instantly look sexy and flirty in this simple outfit for your night out. These shoes are also great in colder weather to keep you warm.
