Sometime ago, I published a post on the first edition of THE STREETS OF ANKARA.
The Streets of Ankara is a periodic article where we get to feature some of our favorite street wears from a time period with reasons why we love them. In no particular order, here are another Kayoja Top 5 favorites Ankara street wears.
Our very own Omoni Oboli never gives us dull moments with her fashion styles. Here, the beautiful mother of three is rocking a six-step strap dress with a gorgeous pair of heels. This dress can either be worn casually or formally depending on how you’d love to look. It can be worn for an evening outing with boo, as seen above either with heels or a pair of kicks. It can be worn with a blazer or a plain colored long sleeve shirt for a meeting with the boss. Because it’s a mixed print dress, you do not need to accessorize too much, keep it simple.
Yes I support the mixed print gang. This is so beautiful. The choice of materials blend perfectly well. Sneakers, loafers, leather sandals, leather slippers and even espadrilles can be used to wear this shirt and shorts. You can also decide to wear both separately (this all depends on you). This is a totally casual outfit that can be worn for any casual occasion. Dunno about you but boo is so going to wear this for our next date.
Oh girls, come on, don’t be sad, we are not left out. A girl can wear nice mixed prints as this too. Remember to keep make up and accessories as simple as possible.
Jennifer Oseh always brings out the love in the deepest part of my heart. This style is amazing. This isn’t just a regular Ankara bootcut with white shirt – it has an aso-oke over her left shoulder and a belt to ease the stress of holding it up. I totally love this! The Ankara bootcut can either be worn formally with or without the aso-oke, YES I mean it! It can also be styled with a pretty casual top for the casual or lazy days.
I can not stress enough how important it is to keep accessories simple and unique.
This is an awesome 2 way outfit. It’s easy to create a style. You can either wear it like it is in the photo or wear it in form of a kimono. How and with what it is styled will determine if you’d need heels or sneakers. Personally I’d prefer the sneaker style cause I’m all up for the casual state of mind…LOL. It is a mixed print so don’t confuse yourself with accessorizing. Calm down girl and keep your accessories and make up as simple as you can.
No lies, this is my all time favorite. Ask me why – it’s because this an Ankara jacket. It can be worn as seen above or with a graphic tee, denim trouser and sneakers. It can be worn for a formal or casual outing in times when the weather is a bit loving. Accessorize as you would prefer but not too much.
That’s it, our top 5 the Streets of Ankara second edition. Always remember to keep accessories simple when trying to glitz up like that. Have fun while walking in KAYOJA Streets of Ankara.
